Bruins Week

Auguest 17-22, 2008.
UCLA was crazy big but so nice. However, the hall that we dormed in was the oldest and the ugliest. The room was small and smelled like wet wood. I guess I can't complain because we got free food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
In a matter of a week, I had Panda Express, Rubios, boba, Sbarros, and buffet food. I was able to eat my favorites on the daily: hash browns, fries, and tator tots. I thought of my sister the whole time I was eating them because she loves them too ! hahaha The food is the number one thing I'm going to miss. Here at home I only eat lunch and an occassional dinner.
It wasn't all fun at UCLA though. We had three hour classes, reviewing for the math and english section of the SATs. During my first half of free time, I stayed in my dorm with Kathrin, studying and finishing homework. Free time during night, I used my time to talk to Art, whom I missed SO SO SO much.
My family visited twice. I appreciated both times so much because it kept me sane for the rest of the week I couldn't see them. BUT what I was really upset about was that Art was going to Huntington Beach on the days I would be coming back.
My groups, known as the Bananas and Apples, made my experience worthwhile. My counselors Ligia and Ramon did also. I never laughed so much in my life. I got a six pack, no lie ! hahah jk.
We did a scavenger hunt that involved us RUNNING the whole damn time, and around the whole damn school. Not to mention, I went to the gym to work out two hours before. I was EXTRA sore the next day.
My favorite part of the WHOLE week was when I came home. As we drove up in the driveway, I could see Juans NOT-SLICK ass hiding in front of the door. I thought he was trying to scare me, so I didn't expect anything of it. When he opened the door, the first thing I saw was a sign saying "Welcome Home Maii" on the staircase. And above the sign were Tiffany, Max, Brandon, and Ryan standing in a row. I was like AWWWWW. And right when I thought the surprise was over they say, "And your first surprise..." then Stephanie came out (: I was gonna give her a hug, but then they say again "Now second surprise, come out.." Arthur came out <3 I gave him a hug and cried. HAHA what a gay right? It was Tiff's and Juan's idea for Art to trick me. He was never supposed to go to Huntington Beach and play bball at Cal State Long Beach. They really got me good. Then I got to hold the other one I missed so much, Belley :D When I thought everything else was over, I saw balloons and a whole bunch of food and cake in the kitchen.
